A project to digitise Coward's personal photo collection, featuring images from his fascinating life, extensive travels and glamorous friendships, has recently been completed, with help from a grant from the NCF.
Live Music Now
During 2018, the NCF sponsored a series of Live Music Now’s concerts at Denville Hall, the actors’ retirement home. Live Music Now works with a wide-range of groups around the country, bringing musicians into care homes and other settings where the benefits of live music can be so significant.
Live Theatre
In 2019 the NCF made an award to Live Theatre in support of their 10 Minutes To... new short play initiative for emerging writers.
Stephen Joseph Theatre
A grant from the Foundation helped Stephen Joseph Theatre extend the outreach work around its production of Build a Rocket, a play dealing with teen pregnancy, with schools in North Yorkshire.
The Theatrical Guild
A grant from the NCF allowed The Theatrical Guild to print further copies of the publication detailing its fascinating history of charitable support for all members of the theatre community, particularly the backstage and technical staff.
American Players Theatre
Maria Aitken gave a week-long masterclass in performing high comedy at The American Players Theatre in Wisconsin. The masterclass was supported in part by an NCF award.
Masterclass's Pitch Your Play
Masterclass runs a variety of educational workshops and presentations at Theatre Royal, Haymarket and the NCF is delighted to have supported their Pitch Your Play scheme, offering three professional rehearsed readings of works by new playwrights, for the past two years.
Scottish Youth Theatre
The NCF was delighted to support Scottish Youth Theatre's Making Space project that took place in Aberdeen during 2019. The project encourages exciting new voices with diverse and ambitious ideas from all over Scotland to connect and create new theatre.
Donmar Warehouse
Donmar on Design, a week-long programme of events for emerging theatre designers was recently supported by the NCF. The Noel Coward Archive Trust also loaned some items from their collection for display during the week.
Red Bull Theater
Red Bull Theater's student matinees offer a chance for New York students to see outstanding theatre at reduced rates. The NCF subsidised tickets for a matinee during the recent run of Macbeth.
Hoxton Hall
The Foundation was delighted to support Hoxton Hall's first training scheme for off-stage roles. Leah Lewis (pictured) completed her Technical Trainee course in 2019 and previous trainees Tasha Msanide (Marketing & Development) and Stephanie Clarke (Assistant Director) have both gone on to find employment in their chosen field.
National Youth Theatre

The Old Vic
The NCF was delighted to support a post-performance discussion as with Andrew Scott about his role in Present Laughter as part of the Old Vic's Voices Off series.
Royal College of Music
Hayat Selim is the first Noel Coward Composition Scholar at the Royal College of Music. A student on the Composition for Screen masters degree, she graduated in 2019 and her music can be heard on the link below.
